Meet the gallery manager and explore the fi ne collection of aboriginal artworks, including dot paintings, symbols, aboriginal drawings and indigenous sculpture from the Territory. Finally, enjoy a relaxing lunch overlooking the picturesque Esplanade and listen to former Northern Territory Chief Minister Clare Martin to gain a unique insight into life in the Top End. Coaches will be provided for all activities.

Half Day Harbour Fishing Charter
AM or PM Depending on tides

This superb half-day fishing charter departs twice a day on the pristine Darwin Harbour where you’ll fi sh around historical wrecks and tropical reefs teeming with marine life. Darwin Reef ‘n’ Wrecks only fish on the swing of the tide for the best fishing and they use only the best top quality rods and reels. You will target fish species such as snapper, queenfish, trevally, mackerel, and coral trout, just to name a few whilst enjoying a delicious barbecue lunch as the catch of the day is served. With professional and experienced crew to assist you with baiting your hook and cleaning your fish, you’re sure to enjoy a thrilling day’s fishing. As tour departure time is determined by the tide, passengers MUST telephone 24 hours prior to
your tour date to re-confi rm times and booking.

Territory Wildlife Park Tour
7.30am-1.30pm

Visit the multi-award winning Territory Wildlife Park. Set amongst 400 hectares of natural bushland, walk or take the train to see the largest collection of territory wildlife. Wander beneath the walk-through aquarium, visit the nocturnal house, enjoy the birds of prey display or get really hands on with barramundi and whip ray feeding.

Wednesday 24 September

Kakadu Highlights Tour
6.00am-7.30pm

This tour is dedicated to the Dreamtime, in the land occupied by the Rainbow serpent. We travel down the Arnhem Highway, across the Adelaide River and Marrakai Plains, visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Centre and view the informative interpretive displays prior to joining a cruise on spectacular Yellow Waters Billabong with your local guide. After lunch (available for purchase), we stop at mystical Nourlangie Rock where you can inspect ancient Aboriginal rock art before returning early in the evening to your Darwin hotel.

7.30pm: Arrive back in Darwin

Litchfield and Jumping Crocodile Cruise
7.00am-7.00pm

Travel South from Darwin to Litchfield National Park which is littered with Waterfalls and swimming holes which flow year round. This tour not only explores Litchfi eld, but experiences the original Adelaide River Jumping Crocodile Cruise, where these reptiles jump as they naturally would for their prey. After getting up close and personal with these crocs we continue south passing Windows of the Wetlands and Humpty Doo on our way to Litchfield which boasts spectacular scenery, monsoonal rainforests and an endless amount of spring fed creeks. The National Park also has intriguing giant termite mounds, some over 2 metres in height. We stop at the picturesque double waterfall forming over Florence falls, with an opportunity for a guided walk through the vine forest. After pausing for lunch (not included) we also experience Wangi and Tolmer Falls, plus the magnetic termite mounds prior to returning to Darwin via Batchelor in the early evening.

Darwin Sunset Dinner Cruise
5.30pm-8.30pm

This unique tropical dining experience aboard the Schooner “Alfred Nobel” includes a 4 course stead meal. Start the experience with a selection of dips followed by a succulent seafood platter. The BBQ is then fi red up for a great selection of local produce served with a selection of salads followed by a tempting dessert platter. A perfect finale to your Darwin Experience.

2 Day / 1 Night Kakadu National Park Explorer

Day 1 @ approx 6.10am: Depart Darwin and travel into World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre
and gain an insight into the cultural and historical signifi cance the park holds for its traditional owners. Join a guided boat cruise on Yellow Water, Kakadu’s most famous wetland area. Keep a look out for the powerful saltwater crocodiles, diverse birdlife and beautiful waterlilies. After lunch travel to Nourlangie art sites and view the ancient galleries of artwork. The unique X-ray style works record the traditional cultures, changes and evolution of the land and people over the last 40,000 years. (L) Overnight: Aurora Kakadu

DAY 2: Option to take a morning flight over the Arnhem Land Escarpment (own expense). Travel to Ubirr to see superbly preserved Aboriginal rock art before joining an Aboriginal guide for a cruise on the East Alligator River. Learn of the flora and fauna, Aboriginal mythology and history of the region, and by special permission, take a short walk into Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre and stop at Window on the Wetlands for a glass of wine while watching the changing light of day over the wetlands. (L)
