Become a NIBA College Assessor, Trainer or Examiner

NIBA College is Registered Training Organisation that offers a range of national qualifications for insurance brokers, authorised representatives, financial planners and personnel in insurance companies and underwriting agencies.

Suitably qualified and experienced practitioners can apply to undertake training and examiner roles by submitting a detailed application describing their past work experience. NIBA College provides an induction program for all successful applicants and also professional development programs to ensure that their skills are kept current.

What to include in your application

All assessors and trainers must have relevant experience, knowledge and skills in the sectors of the financial services industry in which they intend to train or assess.

  • Personal details: An outline of the range of roles you wish to undertake for NIBA College and your contact details.
  • Industry experience and qualifications:
    • Work experience;
    • Supervisory and management experience;
    • Levels of technical knowledge;
    • Prior experience as an industry trainer and/or assessor;
    • Professional development activities undertaken in financial services or education and training;
    • Qualifications (please include transcripts): Industry related degrees, diplomas, certificates or statements of attainment. Those interested in applying to be an assessor must include evidence that you have successfully completed the relevant standards from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
