About NIBA Events

NIBA educational programs, social and networking events and business expos are an excellent medium for businesses to enhance their company’s image within the risk insurance marketplace.

Some of the key events offering sponsorship opportunities include:

• National, State and Young Professional educational seminars and workshops
• Business Expos
• The annual NIBA Sundowners Seminar Series
• State based balls, lunches and Young Professional functions.

All these events are proven ways for businesses to build better relationships with brokers and obtain ongoing exposure to the broker market – especially though supporting coverage in NIBA’s well known industry and member publications.

Educational events are run all capital cities and regional areas to assist brokers to further their skills and knowledge and keep them up to date with the latest products and industry issues. Undertaking your educational program in conjunction with NIBA College provides credibility and acceptance among practitioners and delivers a positive message about your organisation‘s expertise.

What NIBA College sponsorship involves

Firms can participate in the NIBA College’s professional development calendar in many different ways. There are always exciting new training programs being introduced.

NIBA College works with each sponsor to design a program that meet both the sponsoring company’s requirements and broker training needs.

As a sponsor you can participate at many different levels depending on your marketing and budget objectives. Examples of possible programs include: full day or half day technical workshops, breakfast or lunchtime business briefings; sponsoring an external expert speaker at a Young Professionals seminar; or supporting an online education program.

If you are unsure of the type of program to offer, NIBA College staff have a number of suggestions. We regularly research our members to identify the most popular topics.

What your sponsorship includes

NIBA provides a range of services depending on whether you are involved in an educational program or a social or networking function.NIBA is able to provide:

• Promotional support to build maximum attendance or usage
• Involvement of your local personnel to ensure that the event runs smoothly
• Administration of the event including all venue bookings, catering arrangements and co-ordination of resources
• Professional advice on preparation of educational programs including the topic, training materials, the best format for the program and presenters
• Post event reports and evaluations of attendee’s response, where relevant.

NIBA can prepare an accurate outline of the costs after initial discussion about the scope of your proposed sponsorship so that you can budget effectively.
