NIBA recognises top Insurance Professional

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has acknowledged Jardine Lloyd Thompson executive Stephen Ball’s outstanding service to the association, awarding him the prestigious Lex McKeown Trophy at the 26th annual NIBA Convention in Darwin.

Summing up why Mr Ball won the trophy, NIBA President Paul Goddard told the convention audience: “His allegiance to the betterment of insurance broking merits the highest acknowledgement of his peers.

“He’s a popular figure, who has earned the highest esteem at every level, both for his talent as a broker and his sharp mind on industry issues.”

Mr Ball was first elected to the NIBA board in 2000 and became President in 2004. He is involved with NIBA’s education, finance and professional indemnity committees. Significantly, from 2004-2006 he acted as NIBA’s 14thPresident.

A former NSW QPIB of the Year winner, he is a vigorous campaigner for broker education and higher standards of professionalism across the industry.
