Ask your NIBA broker  to show to the professional level of recognition he or she has attained from NIBA College

  An Associate is a broking practitoner who is studying towards their Diploma in insurance broking. Many Associates have already attained the minimum training standards required by the Australian Securities and Investments Commision to provide insurance advise to retail consumers.

A QPIB is a fully qualified broking practitioner who has attained a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and has a minimum of 4 years experience as a broker. All QPIBs participate in mandatory ongoing training to keep their skills and knowledge up to date.  

  This professional recognition is awarded to QPIBs who have been practicing brokers for a minimum of 6 years and have completed the NIBA College Certified Professional Insurance Broker program. CPIBs also participate in mandatory ongoing training to keep their skills and knowledge up to date.

Fellowship is awarded to a broker who has completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services or a Graduate Diploma of Financial Services and has a minimum of 2 years as a CPIB or 5 years as  a QPIB. Fellows also participate in mandatory ongoing training to keep their skills and knowledge up to date
