Certified Professional Insurance Broker

The Certified Professional Insurance Broker class (CPIB) is an optional class introduced to provide further recognition for senior practising brokers who have built on their core skills and knowledge through work experiences and completion of an accredited higher level professional development and practice program.

The CPIB program is not about formal study but about professional development. It is designed as a workplace-based program of learning, mentoring and obtaining wider experience and skills.

This is an intense career development course based upon professionalism and capability of the highest order. Whilst this is an optional program, principal members should encourage QPIBs to undertake the CPIB program to obtain greater professional recognition for their business and themselves.

NIBA’s aim is to support two important goals - building workforce capability and creating professionalism.

In abiding by these goals, when a brokerage qualifies to become a NIBA member the firm and its representatives are bound by NIBA’s strict Code of Conduct, as well as our Constitution and Rules and Regulations.

As a members of NIBA, members also subscribe to the General Insurance Brokers Code of Practice.
