Program Highlights

A selection of our plenary speakers, plus other specialists from within and outside the industry, will be running extended stream sessions. Following research with YPs and senior brokers alike we have focused our stream sessions on the most important soft skills areas that you said are of most importance to professional brokers. Topics will range from business planning to effective presentations. The 90 minute format will give you more in depth perspective and you’ll take even more strategies and practical knowledge to your work place. There are so many hot topics this year that we even have breakfast sessions! Whether you’re interested in managing your clients or managing your business, you’ll fi nd a session where you can get practical pointers from the experts.
Networking and Social Calendar
NIBA prides itself in producing great social events and you can rest assured that your social calendar for the duration of the conference will be comfortably full! The functions are always an anticipated highlight of the conference and provide great networking opportunities.

Young Professional Welcome Party

Open to all registered YP ticket holders and invited guests.

NIBA values the Young Professionals coming into the industry and in particular, those that attend the annual convention. NIBA is proud to play host at a special welcome cocktail party for the Young Professionals registered at the conference.
Welcome Dinner: 80’s Revival

Dress: Smart casual or BAD 80’s fashion!
The Welcome Dinner will set the tone for the next four days. It’s all about relaxing and kicking back – a time for old friends to get reacquainted and an introduction to the Young Professionals and First Timers to the “NIBA way” of socialising. The Welcome Dinner is a seated function and will be held in the sparkling marquee at Jupiters Gold Coast.
SUNDAY 17 OCTOBER

Bus transfers leave at 6.00pm from the front of the hotel.

Dress: Smart casual or your brightest beach shirt or sarong!
Dinner and DJ on the beach. You will be transported to the ultimate beach party destination, without the sand, wind and rain, to the Gold Coast’s largest sheltered outdoor venue. With banquet table seating for all guests, located on the shores of the giant wave pool at White Water World, this impressive venue offers a social night for all.
MONDAY 18 OCTOBER
Show in the NIBA Expo: START YOUR ENGINES!

Ladies & Gentlemen – START YOUR ENGINES!!! Queensland’s spectacular Gold Coast has played home to one of Australia’s premier sporting events, the Indy 300. Tonight is about motor racing, fun and friendly competition.
TUESDAY 19 OCTOBER
Gala Dinner: Back to the Future
Arena, Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre
7.00pm to 10.30pm
Additional function tickets are $180pp.
Pre-allocated seating can be arranged at the Registration Desk
Dress: Business suit or cocktail dress.
NIBA delegates will venture across the footbridge to the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre for the fi nal social event of the conference where they will be treated to a great night of dining and entertainment. But the big question is who will be the surprise entertainer this year? Pre-allocated seating for this event will be available from the Registration Desk so make sure you get in early and organise a table with your friends.
NIBAR
In true NIBA style, the hospitality doesn’t end when the events draw to a close. The EBIX NIBAR is a great place to catch up and with the convenient location at Jupiters Gold Coast Prince Albert Pub, where else would you go for a night cap after a long day?
