Zurich helps kids in Cape TownDuring the recent AIMS conference in Cape Town, South Africa, Zurich and AIMS held a mini mock-World Cup football game to help impoverished kids. Brokers and underwriters, along with their partners, joined teams with local children from townships across Cape Town. Football is played barefoot by the local children so Zurich supplied each a pair of new football boots, soccer balls, pumps, shin pads and other gear. The football game was in support of the Amy Biehl Foundation. Zurich also made a cash donation to the foundation, whose programs are designed to develop and empower 5-18 year old youth in the impoverished townships of Cape Town, and alleviate HIV Aids, poverty, gangs, violence and crime.
