NIBA has revealed the NSW/ACT Young Professional Broker of the Year finalists
The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has revealed the NSW/ACT Young Professional Broker of the Year finalists:
The Young Professional Broker of the Year Award, sponsored by Vero, recognises the broking industry’s rising stars under the age of 35.
Yusuf Alexander, State Manager for NSW/ACT, Vero, congratulated the finalists and said: “Vero is delighted to provide ongoing support to the next generation of broking leaders across the country.”
NIBA CEO Dallas Booth congratulated the NSW/ ACT finalists, adding: “We received a significant number of nominations this year, all of which were of an extremely high calibre. We’re thrilled to acknowledge Scott, Ben and Tim for their outstanding contribution to the broking industry.”
Hardiman was excited to just be nominated: “Having originally began my career on the underwriting side, I set myself very high standards, so it is fantastic to be acknowledged and to take stock of what I’ve achieved in my insurance broking career to date.”
Rubio’s first reaction was surprise because he thought there was a mix-up: “Professionally this nomination has definitely given me more confidence, to believe in and trust what I do day to day for my clients.”
Richmond believes sometimes it is so easy to bury yourself in daily operations and said: “It really means a lot to be nominated and backed up by your colleagues and clients, and the wider industry. We are a very tight-knit office here in Coffs Harbour and being finalist for this award is as much a reflection on their support and hard work as it is of myself.”
The NSW/ACT region winners will be announced at the NIBA NSW Gala Lunch on July 12 at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney. Registrations are now open.
The state winners will go on to compete for the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professional Broker of the Year, which will be awarded at the 2019 NIBA Convention on the Gold Coast this October – visit nibaconvention.com.au for more information.
