This program is sold out!

The Protecsure NIBA Presentation Skills Program offers a holistic approach to presentation skills, promoting technical awareness of the art of communication, and the importance of effective networking. The program aims to develop young professionals’ skills and performance in the art of verbal and non-verbal communication.

Within all facets of the insurance industry, professionals are required to speak or present on behalf of their organisation about their products and services. Be it at an exhibition trade show, a networking event, or talking clients through specific product offerings.

The Protecsure NIBA Presentation Skills Program will guide you through presenting under any circumstance so you can go from your desk to a client meeting, to a conference presentation with ease!

The program will run for 4 weeks and will be held in person at various Sydney CBD locations.

Ticket price

$260 for members and non-members of NIBA

$230 for group bookings of three or more

Michael is a leading body language and speech expert and holds a Master of Science degree in speech pathology. He writes The Winning Voice blog post on all aspects of memorable listening, speaking and presenting. Michael is a regular media commentator and his clients include Commonwealth Bank, Becton Dickinson and the University of Sydney.

An introduction to networking | Nikki Heald

Workshop 1 will see participants learn the intricate art of face to face networking and will provide a sound basis for the program. At this workshop, program participants will choose their presentation topic for Workshop 4’s final presentations.

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Language technics and building your hook | Nikki Heald

During Workshop 2 Nikki Heald will break down the language and process of preparing a successful presentation with confidence.

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Unspoken technics to engage your audience | Michael Kelly

At Workshop 3 participants will dive deeper into a plethora of unspoken techniques that can be used to engage any audience with communication expert Michael Kelly.

4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Final Presentations | Participants

The final workshop gives each program participant a chance to put what they have learnt over the past 3 weeks into practice and present in front of the group. Each participant will present a speech on their chosen topic for 5 minutes. They will then gain written feedback from a panel of industry stalwarts and a video recording of their speech. This workshop will be followed by networking drinks to celebrate completing the program.
