About NIBA College

As of 18 November 2015, NIBA College will no longer take on enrolments into its qualifications and training programs, nor its CPD courses.

This follows the announcement of an historiric partnership between NIBA and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) on the delivery of broker education. You can read full details of that here.

The collaboration involves ANZIIF becoming NIBA’s preferred supplier of broker education with immediate effect. NIBA will continue to provide education and its full range of support services to its current students until 1 September 2016. From this date, remaining NIBA students will transition to ANZIIF’s education programs.

Individual NIBA members who hold professional designations with the College (Associate, QPIB, CPIB, Fellow), will still retain NIBA membership and will still be required to maintain their designation by accruing 50 CPD points over each two-year period.

In collaboration with NIBA and other industry stakeholders, ANZIIF will develop Broker Skills Units, which will be FNS15-compliant and designed to meet changes in the industry and to reflect the needs of brokers and business now and into the future.

Developed with industry, the teaching, resources and assessment will mimic real-life work scenarios and support professionals to be immediately effective in their roles. The new format will offer professionals the opportunity to undertake shorter, more concentrated units that allow them to upskill quickly, providing immediate benefit to their businesses.
