Master your personal finances

The NIBA NSW YP committee, with the kind support of sponsors Bridges Financial and Chubb, will stage a three-part seminar series this April aimed at boosting young professionals' long-term personal balance sheets.

The breakfast sessions will take place on Thursdays 6 April, 13 April and 20 April 2017 from 7:30am to 10am, covering three important areas of personal finance every young professional should master:

Session 1 - Wealth accumulation

Share market behaviour, comparing shares vs property and super vs mortgage, debt recyling, diversification and compounding.

Session 2 - Taxation planning

Budget measures, tax strategies, investing for children, tax thresholds and negative gearing.

Session 3 - SMSF and super

Self-managed vs retail/industry super funds, investment strategies, contributions, accessibility and examining super vs mortgage as a strategy for saving.

By focusing on topics relevant to all young professionals, attendance offers a great opportunity for YPs to strongly position themselves for financial success in an ever changing volatile economic environment.

The seminar presenters will be Troy Gudgeon and John Corkhill - Bridges Financial Services (bios below). Each session is rated at 1.5 CPD points, and a light breakfast will be served. All this for a mere $30 - it makes perfect financial sense to register now!
