Registration for 2017 FOS Insurance Brokers Workshop - VIC
NIBA is pleased to announce a workshop has been arranged in conjunction with the Financial Ombudsman Service Australia.
John Price, Lead Ombudsman General Insurance and Evelyn Halls, Ombudsman from the Financial Ombudsman Service Australia (FOS) will present a workshop for Insurance Brokers in Melbourne on 18 August 2017, focusing on the FOS experience with disputes relating to Brokers. Joining them will be Sally Davis, General Manager Code Compliance and Monitoring who will provide some further information about compliance with the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice and the work of the independent monitoring Committee.
The workshop will provide an opportunity for Brokers to gain valuable insights into the issues facing the industry as well as management of Broker claims and disputes through the FOS External Dispute Resolution process, and Code compliance.
The discussion will include the FOS Approach to Broker disputes, how the process of Joinder works, the difference between FOS EDR and Code, and also share insights into emerging issues and trends within the industry. Significant determinations will also be discussed.
The workshop will also provide a chance for Brokers to ask questions and share their own experiences.
Attendance at the workshops is free of charge, but registrations are required.
