Registration for 2017 QLD Behind the screen: demonstration of a hack and analysis of cyber risk
Behind the screen, Tuesday, 17 October, 8am
With the mandatory data breach notification laws looming, this session contains a demonstration of a hack and considers the fallout from the event, including the losses and liabilities faced by the victim, and outlines some practical steps that can be taken to minimise damage.
Presented by Carter Newell Special Counsel Katherine Hayes, this session will ensure you are equipped with all the information you need to talk to your clients about the new data breach laws when discussing cyber risk solutions.
Hayes has 15 years post admission experience in the specialty areas of insurance, commercial litigation and dispute resolution. She acts for clients in the Australian, Asian and UK insurance markets and was named as one of Australasian Lawyer’s Rising Stars of 2016.
