What is Dive In?

The Festival for Diversity and Inclusion in Insurance (Dive In) Festival is one of the world's largest diversity, equity and inclusion events. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, it will centre around the theme of "A Sustainable Future: The Next 10 Years", encouraging businesses to view inclusive and diverse cultures not just as a business requirement but as a pivotal factor for long-term success.    

 

Overview 

Over the years, NIBA have partnered with various organisations to deliver a webinar for the Dive In Festival. This year, in partnership with Gilchrist Connell, NIBA is delivering a webinar on 'Invisible Disabilities in the Workplace'. Join us for this enlightening and empowering event featuring two distinguished speakers with extensive human resources and workplace safety expertise.    

Anu Wettasinghe, Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing Manager at QBE, is a passionate Human Resources professional with a proven track record across diverse industries. With deep expertise in Diversity and Inclusion, Wellbeing, Culture Change, and Employee Engagement and a broad HR Generalist and Business Partnership background, Anu brings a wealth of knowledge supported by a Master of Business in Human Resource Management.    

Anna Puccio, Executive General Manager for Steadfast Workplace Risk, has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, specialising in Workers' Compensation and Occupational Health and Safety. Her comprehensive expertise spans the financial, transport, construction, retail, manufacturing, and cleaning sectors.     

Anu and Anna will share their insights on recognising and supporting invisible disabilities in the workplace, promoting a more inclusive and supportive work environment.

Speakers  

Anu Wettasinghe - Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing Manager, QBE    

Anu Wettasinghe (she/her) is an experienced human resource professional and is currently the Diversity, Inclusion and Wellbeing Manager at QBE Insurance Australia Pacific. Anu has deep expertise across all pillars of inclusion and well-being, complemented by previous human resources business partnering experience across various sectors, including financial services and insurance. With broad HR experience supported by a Master of Business in Human Resource Management, Anu has been a driver of culture change in some of Australia's most well-known organisations.

Her career in Diversity and Inclusion closely aligns with her personal values and purpose when it comes to respect, equity, and giving everyone a fair go. Anu believes that D&I is an exciting and purpose-driven aspect of HR, and no two days are the same, from setting strategic direction, delivering programs in collaboration with stakeholders in the true spirit of inclusion and seeing measurable impact. Anu strongly believes in the link between inclusion and wellbeing to foster a thriving workplace culture. She is passionate about unlocking the value of different perspectives and creating an environment where people feel valued for their contribution, have a sense of belonging and are treated with fairness and respect.  

 

Anna Puccio - Executive General Manager at Steadfast Workplace Risk (SWR)  

Anna Puccio has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, specialising in workers' compensation and occupational health and safety. Her expertise spans the financial, transport, construction, retail, and manufacturing sectors. She develops customised programs targeted at long-term strategic workplace risk advice. Before joining SWR, Anna led an international broker's National workers' compensation and safety team. Anna is an Executive General Manager in SWR, currently heading Broker Partnerships and Broking/Placement initiatives.

Anna leads Major National client renewals across all Australian States and Territories to achieve both financial and strategic outcomes. Anna also has experience dealing with businesses with offshore employees, providing advice on employer liability covers and cross-border provisions. Anna has developed long-standing relationships with all key Australian markets to achieve sustainable and mutual outcomes for insurers and clients. Anna's expertise and industry reputation add value to the team at Steadfast Workplace Risk. She brings with her in-depth experience in the workers' compensation market and a strong service ethic with national clients and brokers.
