New Sub-Committee, National Press Club Event to Expand NIBA’s Regional Program

NIBA will revitalise its presence in the ACT through a special event to be held at the National Press Club in Canberra on Wednesday, 21 May.

NIBA Canberra Member Update

A new ACT sub-committee has also been formed to strengthen engagement and grow opportunities for the brokers across the country. As a member-led body, NIBA believes in being present where its members are, including in regional areas. We are excited to have this new sub-committee which represents a dynamic group of local leaders passionate about shaping the future of insurance in the region.

The event will bring together local brokers, industry experts and NIBA representatives for an evening of networking and discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing the insurance sector in 2025.

This is part of NIBA’s broader commitment to ensure brokers from all corners of Australia—metropolitan or regional—have a strong voice, opportunities for connection, and access to industry-leading insights.

NIBA President Nick Cook welcomed this step, emphasising the importance of engaging with the broking community in regional areas.

“Brokers represent their communities across Australia. NIBA believes in bringing together brokers no matter where they are located—this more than ever, includes our regional brokers, who play a critical role as trusted partners in helping their communities to thrive,” Mr Cook said.

NIBA CEO Richard Klipin will give a strategic update, exploring national and international forces shaping the sector. Attendees will gain invaluable insights about the unique challenges faced by professionals in the ACT region through an engaging panel and Q&A session.

“Irrespective of whether you’re a broker from the cities or the regions, NIBA is here to support you, represent you and help you grow,” Mr Klipin said.
