NIBA Announces the Winner of the 2025 QLD Broker of the Year Award 

NIBA is delighted to announce the winner of the CGU-partnered 2025 QLD Broker of the Year award.

The award was presented at the 2025 NIBA Qld Gala Lunch on Wednesday, 23 July at The Star in Brisbane to a packed room of over 430 professionals.  

The CGU-partnered 2025 Qld Broker of the Year award was won by Kate Greaves from Goldsworthy General Insurance Services. 

The Broker of the Year award celebrates those senior brokers who are elevating professional standards through their broking practice. 

NIBA CEO Richard Klipin congratulated the winner and acknowledged the finalists: “I wish Kate all the best for the upcoming national awards in October and would like to congratulate all the finalists for their commitment and dedication towards the profession,” Richard said. 

NIBA President Nick Cook noted the importance of the award program: “The award is an integral part of recognising and celebrating the standout talent present in the broking profession.” 

Ben Szczerbinski, Executive Manager, Major Event Claims, CGU said, “On behalf of CGU, I congratulate Kate, the winner of this year’s Qld Broker of the Year award. This award recognises those who have made a significant impact on people, businesses and communities. We’re pleased to acknowledge Kate's efforts in going above and beyond for her clients.” 

Kate will now go on to compete for the national Broker of the Year award. The national CGU-partnered Broker of the Year will be chosen from the five state winners and announced in October at the 2025 NIBA Convention.
