Nikita Willis Steps Up for Vulnerable Families

Up All Night raises vital funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Western Australia (RMHC WA), which provides an essential lifeline to families with seriously ill children.

Up All Night Nikita Willis

From quality accommodation and professional family support, to learning programs for kids and even workspaces for parents, RMHC WA ensures families can stay together and have a sense of stability during unimaginably tough times.

Nikita Willis, Commercial Manager at Knightcorp Insurance Brokers and 2024 WA Young Broker of the Year is taking part in Up All Night for the first time.

Speaking on why she was motivated to take part, Nikita said: “At Knightcorp, community is at the heart of everything we do. Initially, a group of us planned to support the walkers from the sidelines as a cheer squad. But once we learned more about the incredible impact of the walk and how the funds raised directly support families in need, six of us felt inspired to go all in and take on the challenge ourselves."

"This cause really hits home for me. My mum is a cancer survivor and a constant source of inspiration for me. Going through that experience as a family was incredibly tough, and I cannot imagine the weight of having a child in that situation. Up All Night gives us a glimpse into the emotional and physical exhaustion these families face – those sleepless nights filled with worry.

It’s not only a fantastic cause to get behind, but also an amazing opportunity to bond with colleagues and strengthen that sense of camaraderie. Walking through the night together for such a meaningful purpose will be an experience I am sure I will not soon forget.”

Commenting on her role within the community as a broker, Nikita added: “As brokers, we are already deeply involved in helping communities rebuild and thrive, but giving back beyond our day-to-day work is something we should all feel strongly about. It is about using the resources, skills, and connections we have to make a real difference, not just in business, but in the lives of those who need it most. Contributing to causes like Up All Night helps us stay grounded in what really matters.”
