Nominations open for the 2024 Broker of the Year, with new partner CGU coming on board

Nominations for the 2024 NIBA Broker of the Year Award have opened, with CGU coming on board as the prestigious award’s new partner. The beginning of this partnership underscores both – NIBA and CGU’s – commitment to promoting professionalism and integrity within the broking community.  

The Broker of the Year Award acknowledges the exceptional contributions and accomplishments of senior brokers who demonstrate outstanding commitment, expertise, and integrity in their profession. The award serves to inspire and elevate the standards of excellence within the industry, showcasing the pivotal role that insurance brokers play in both the insurance industry and the broader community. 

Five winners are selected from their respective regions, comprising of NSW/ACT, Qld, SA/NT, Vic/Tas and WA. These five winners then go on to compete for the prestigious title of the National Broker of the Year. 

The winner will be revealed at the 2024 NIBA Convention held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 20 – 22 October and walk away with the Stephen Ball memorial trophy.  

NIBA CEO Phil Kewin expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership with CGU, welcoming their commitment to supporting excellence in broking.

The nominees are judged on three main pillars. These are: 

  • Being an inspirational representative for the broking profession; 
  • Demonstrated professionalism in broking practice and; 
  • Demonstrated contribution to the broader community.
