Two Days to Have Your Say for Code of Practice Review
Phase two of the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice (IBCOP) Review is entering its final stage, with just two days remaining to provide feedback on the Consultation Issues Paper.
Engagement across the profession has been strong throughout the consultation period. Independent reviewer Phil Khoury has led extensive discussions with a wide range of stakeholders, including regulators, consumer advocacy groups, Code Subscribers, and other key industry participants.
These conversations have provided a broad range of perspectives and have been instrumental in identifying both strengths in the current Code and areas where improvements could be made.
This is the final opportunity for members to have their views heard and to contribute directly to the future direction of the Code. Written submissions must be received by 5:00pm on Friday, 2 May 2025.
Submissions can be lodged via email to niba_code_review@crkhoury.com.au. There is no set format for submissions, feedback can be detailed or brief, addressing any or all of the issues raised in the Consultation Paper. Every contribution will be carefully considered as part of the review.
Your input will help ensure the Code continues to promote best practice, strengthen consumer trust, and support the ongoing professionalism of brokers across Australia. For further information on the review process and how to submit feedback, please visit the official consultation website.
